چکیده
Research on environmentally friendly techniques for the agroindustry is growing constantly. In this sense, supply of ozone (O3) has been taken into consideration, especially disinfection because its high oxidizing power. However, there not enough information about application dissolved O3 via fertigation in crops. For that reason, study, two trials were carried out simultaneously to determine consequences plant growth and quality tomato plants. The first trial aimed assess effects fertigated with nutrient solution O3. second was performed establish ideal rate both experiments, we measured biometric, physiological, nutritional parameters plant. results obtained showed treatment resulted highest overall dry weight gain, whereas decreased leaf proline total soluble sugars concentrations. There no clear effect chlorophyll plants under application. Regarding parameters, led a higher content P K These findings indicate use may present several advantages plants’ quality.

Physiological and morphological responses of olive plants to ozone exposure during a growing season.
We studied physiological (gas exchange and stomatal aperture) and morphological (individual leaf area and stomatal density) responses in leaves of five-year-old olive plants (Olea europaea L. cvs. Frantoio and Moraiolo) exposed to filtered air containing < 3 ppb O(3) or 100 ppb O(3) for 5 h day(-1) for 120 days in fumigation chambers. After 100 days of treatment, leaf drop and development of ne...
متن کاملNanotitania Exposure Causes Alterations in Physiological, Nutritional and Stress Responses in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)
Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (nanotitania: TiO2NPs) are used in a wide range of consumer products, paints, sunscreens, and cosmetics. The increased applications lead to the subsequent release of nanomaterials in environment that could affect the plant productivity. However, few studies have been performed to determine the overall effects of TiO2NPs on edible crops. We treated tomato plants wi...
متن کاملphysiological responses to drought stress in four species of tomato
investigation of the cultivated tomato plant as a plant ideal system along with the drought resistant wild species can be useful to a better understanding of the mechanisms of drought resistance and improvement of tomato plants. to investigate the effect of drought stress on leaf relative water content (rwc), electrolyte leakage and photosynthetic parameters in four species of tomato (a cultiva...
متن کاملDistinct physiological responses of tomato and cucumber plants in silicon-mediated alleviation of cadmium stress
The alleviative effects of silicon (Si) on cadmium (Cd) toxicity were investigated in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) grown hydroponically. The growth of both plant species was inhibited by 100 μM Cd, but Si application counteracted the adverse effects on growth. Si application significantly decreased the Cd concentrations in shoots of both species and roots o...

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) is widely cultivated for its edible, strongly-flavored leaves, fruits, seeds and medicinal uses. As the wild and cultivated plants are influenced by environmental stresses, the effects of salt (25, 50 and 75 mM NaCl), nitrogen and iron deficiency (0 N, 0.5 N of Hoagland’s solution, 0 Fe and 0.5 Fe of Hoagland’s solution), 2°C cold (2, 3 and 4 h) and drought (3,...
